Inside Froscandia: The Four Companies Behind a Global Food Export Group
Froscandia is a group, not a single company. Meet Season Plus, Green Products, Misr Cooling, and Frosera — the four specialist businesses behind every shipment we send.
Froscandia sits behind a lot of shipments — fresh produce, IQF frozen fruit and vegetables, natural juices, and hand-graded specialty crops — but the name on the container is only half the story. Froscandia is a group of four specialist companies, each responsible for a different link in the cold chain, that operate as a single coordinated exporter from Egypt to importers across five continents.
This article walks through those four companies as they are on the ground today: what each does, where it operates from, and why the split exists. Every fact below is directly attested by public information about the group; nothing is estimated.
Season Plus — the operational anchor since 2000
Season Plus is the oldest company in the Froscandia group, operating since the year 2000 out of production sites in 6th of October City and AlQanater, Egypt. Two decades of continuous trading in fresh and frozen produce built the base of expertise every other company in the group relies on today. Its portfolio spans everyday vegetables, specialty Egyptian crops (okra, mulukhiyah, broad beans), frozen fruit, and prepared products.
What makes Season Plus the operational anchor is the boring, high-value thing: consistency. Long-term relationships with farms. Predictable quality month after month. The kind of B2B service that keeps importers and distributors ordering across years rather than seasons. Every time Froscandia claims “25+ years of expertise,” Season Plus is the reason that claim is honest.
Green Products — sourcing and agriculture, "Live Healthy, Eat Green"
Green Products handles the group’s agriculture and sourcing arm from New Cairo. Its catalogue is deliberately wide: fresh vegetables, frozen vegetables, fresh and frozen fruit, 100% preservative-free frozen juices, herbs, spices, and essential oils. Worldwide shipping is the standard offer — not a boutique add-on.
The tagline the company operates under, Live Healthy, Eat Green, describes the operating principle: direct grower relationships, quality control at field level, and a product range built for retail, food-service, and industrial buyers alike. Everything Green Products sources feeds Season Plus’s processing lines and — critically — the IQF operations of the third company in the group.
Misr Cooling — IQF freezing, cold storage, and ice, since 1977
The full legal name is Misr Company for Cooling, Storage and Ice Manufacturing. It has been operating since 1977 out of Qalyubia, Egypt — four decades of specialisation in the technical layer that turns fresh produce into shelf-stable frozen product without losing its nutritional value, texture, or colour.
Misr Cooling runs the group’s cold-chain backbone: individually quick-frozen (IQF) processing for fruits and vegetables, refrigerated storage of finished product, and ice manufacturing for food-grade packaging. It’s the specialist link between fresh sourcing and global export, and the reason Froscandia describes itself as a food-freezing group rather than a produce trader. Cold-chain integrity is unbroken from harvest in Qalyubia to the shipping container.
Frosera — the commercial front from Göteborg
Frosera is the newest company in the group and the one customers meet first. Based in Göteborg, Sweden, it fronts every account relationship the group has: distribution in the Nordics, Northern-European retail and food-service coordination, and the transatlantic partnerships that ship product into the United States, Canada, and Brazil.
Frosera exists because operational depth is only useful if the buyer’s side of the conversation is clean. Long-term B2B partners want one name to contract with, one point of contact for compliance and documentation, and one commercial rhythm across the year. Frosera provides that; Season Plus, Green Products, and Misr Cooling handle everything upstream in Egypt.
Why the split matters
A single company trying to source, freeze, package, and sell across four continents would need to be brilliant at all four things at once. A group of four specialists lets each business be excellent at its own layer — sourcing, freezing, storage, or commercial coordination — and reduces the failure modes that come from stretching one team across every stage. When importers work with Froscandia, they get all four companies without seeing the seams.
The names in the group carry independent history: Season Plus with two decades of trading, Misr Cooling with 47+ years in IQF and refrigeration. That combined operational weight is what the Froscandia brand represents to buyers today.
